If you run a website that is targeted internationally, it is likely that at some point you are going to want to see what your Google rankings are in other countries. Obviously America is huge and in many cases we have seen, a large chunk of total traffic comes from the US for internationally targeted sites.
Annoyingly when typing http://www.google.com into your address bar, it will redirect you to your country’s Google domain (in our case .co.uk). This becomes a bit of a problem when you want to see your site’s ranking for the US. Well the answer to this is actually quite simple, use the URL below (replacing your+search+query with the search term you want and replace spaces with +).
To make things slightly easier, you can also use the SEO Global For Google Search Firefox and Chrome plugins to see results from all international Google domains.
Someone has kindly given us another good alternative from Google themselves. Google have created a test search environment to help people with their AdWords campaigns. This method also lets you search by city which can be very handy if you are trying to see your website’s ranking around local areas. Click the link below to use this tool.
Thanks to Alastair for suggesting this one!
